I come to say hello.....
And your place is indeed a gorgeous spot !
I live in Asia, so the NYC MAC EXPO you mentioned was really hard for me to get to,
except some web events. My mac is a little old for X, but friends told me they're quite
satisfied for X's performance. However just like you said, only native softwares could
reveal X's power. I also hope for this as a mac user, yet as a programmer I would take
more patience to expect better perfection.....
I'm glad to know mac users here though I'm still trying to fit in the h2g2 society with
very little leisure time out of my project's due day......
Wish you joy & delight.....

Hi ille! Thanks for dropping by! Can I get you something?
?
Well, my place looks best in Goo ... and I've kinda have to make due with what they let you use here. It's not easy finding the proper pictures from the library!
Have you gotten to any of the Macworld Expos in your neck of the woods? I have to say this year's event was smaller than last year's and I think because there was no huge announcement by Steve Jobs, there wasn't quite as much excitement as usual.
I don't think I'll be able to put OS X on my Macs either. I have an old PowerComputing clone that I've put a G3 processor in, and I'm on my RevB iBook right now. I've been paying attention to what people are saying about X and the iBook, but from what I hear, it takes up a bit too much processor speed to make it worthwhile on the G3 in this machine.
Keep trying to fit into h2g2 society. I lurked around for a while before I found a few places that I'd like to get involved in. And I really have made some great friends!
Don't worry too much about not having enough time here. Sometimes I find I'm too busy to even turn on the computer, and other times it seems that's all I do!
Take care of yourself, and thanks for dropping by!
