h2g2 The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy: Earth Edition

When Joanna lands at the end of her ride, she finds she is in a large brightly lit chamber. The walls appear to shine and shimmer... looking closer she realises they are mother of pearl. This makes her wonder exactly where she has ended up.
She spies a bell pull with a notice saying "pull" and pulls it. A faint jangling can be heard.
Looking around her, her eyes, used to the gloom, slowly getting more accustomed to the brightness she sees Kitty eating by a laid dinner table. She goes accross to the table. A fantasy spread is laid out - all sorts of interesting and tasty foods and desserts.
She realises she is quite hungry, and looking at Kitty, thinks it is probably safe to eat.
There are two seats at the table. The one she is by has a placemark "Menza, Forum and Firkin Landlord" so she goes around to the other... aha "Joanna, Princess of Darkness". Just to check, she looks at the huge (cauldron sized) bowl that Kitty is eating from... "yttiK noiL evaC" it says.
She sits to eat, awaiting Menza.

*flies out of tunnel and lands in a crumpled heap on the floor*

That was fun, but it needs a little something for re-entry.

*sees table*

That looks good, And I was feeling rather hungry too.

I suppose its alright to eat... but how come we're so obviously expected??

With the age of this place I would test the food first though, it might be a little old.

*Kitty is eating with much enjoyment and doesn't understand these human's hesitations.. the food is perfectly fresh, very delicious... he's eaten here before with no ill effects*

Kitty seams fine, so I guess I'll just tuck in.

*starts eating*

*shlurp crunch munch munch*

*Kitty looks at Menza, as if reproaching his lack of table manners*

*quitely shlurps, munches and crunches*

*Kitty finishes eating and goes and curls on the arm of a (big) couch*

A sofa!!!!!

Thats good, if something odd happens I have somewhere to hide.

And you don't consider any of the things that have happened to us here as "odd", huh?

I was thinking more of if the Tentacle turns up.

I'd happily managed to forget about the Tentacle
*eyes the room nervously*

I haven't seen any of the usual sucker marks arround so I think we are safe.
