I have, as far as I know, absolutely no connection with Ireland, however, in the spirit of international co-operation I am happy to indulge in a smiley - stout or two chased by some good Irish Whiskey. BTW, I believe, and I'm open to correction, that like St. P himself, stout is of English origin.

I do believe a smiley - ale of the black smooth stuff would go down nicely.

Stout English? Not sure on that one, I know Guiness was invented by accident though. *frowns in deep thought while watching the beauty of the pint being poured* Nope, don't know.

Happy St. Patricks Day everyone!

There's plenty of seats around Phil, things seem a little slow in here today. I think some of the regulars must be off celebrating St Patrick's Day IRL. In the meantime I'll just comfort myself with another virtual smiley - ale.

Might I not join in a smiley - ale of cheer. And would someone be so kind as to point out Løønytünes should he come by? I love a man with an accent.

Thank-you kindly, sir. I will sit and enjoy this while waiting for my post in another forum to load. Beastly slow this morning.

It is a perfect St. Patrick's Day here in Boston (we also call "Evacuation Day" and that has nothing to do with the ridding of snakes). It is raining/sleeting/snowing. All the better to spend the day...evening...next morning...enjoying a bit of green beer.

Overcast here in England too, but that didn't stop them. Think I'll keep my beer beer colour, I'm a bit of a traditionalist when it comes to that sort of thing. The fewer additives the better, with the odd exception. IMHO green is reserved for creme de menthe and chatreuse smiley - smiley
