Records broken in the F&F! St. Pat's Day retains its unique power, even in cyberspace! I'll drink to that!
One thing I don't understand, though. Surely someone should have started drunkenly singing about wanting to go back to dear old Ireland by now?

Oh Danny boy the pipes the pipes are call a ling,
From glen to glen and down the mountainside
The sun has gone and and all the trees are dy-y-ing
It's you it's you must go and I must fly.
But haste ye back when springtime's in the me-eadows
And all the fields are white as white as snow
For I'll be here in sunshine or in sha-a-dow
Oh Danny boy, oh Danny boy I love you so.
Will that do?

Beautiful, DD!
Menz - another for DD and one for me, please. Let's keep the black stuff flowing!
All I meant, BTW, that while spending happy hours in Irish pubs I've heard an amazing number of songs extolling the apparently amazing virtues of different places in Ireland. Some of them are truly lovely, though they're usually lovelier on record than they are when bellowed by blokes on their umpteenth .

I did try to do it all once live in that statew I actually managed to forget about two lines, but we had just won the British title so I was celebrating.

And it's goodnight from me too. See you all for the hair-of-dog virtual hangover cure session tomorrow!

Phil Posted Mar 18, 2000
*Phil checks to see if there is anyone left in the bar, draws the shutters down and wanders into the cold night air*
singing cockles and mussels alive alive O.
*Remembers he's got to go home and thinks where's that then *

All the plans were thrown out the window last night, I ended up going out for a couple of instead of staying here and chatting to you lot. Oh well, at least I haven't got a hangover
So, he says looking around for someone to pour a drink, help myself is it? Is there actually any booze left?
Key: Complain about this post
