Confession Time ........
Fizzymouse- no place like home Started conversation Dec 15, 2007
Not that long ago the new feature of subscribing to other peoples guide entries was introduced - not that you couldn't watch out for them and subscribe anyhow - but this system lets you see them as they appear and you don't have to go looking for them.
Anyway - you can also see who's subscribed to your entries but it's only available in Brunel skin.
With encouragement from Bel .... I ventured into Brunel and had a poke around.
What a shock I got ... they have loads of features that I didn't know existed - me being a classic goo .
Well ..... ..... after I found how easy it was to edit entries in Brunel - which practically adds links/paragraphs/headers/italics for you - I switched.
Yes - I know it's embarassing - and because I don't scroll down my PS anymore to reach my conversations/messages/entries - I didn't even notice that a bright shiny new Scout badge had appeared on it.
So, sometime over the holidays I'm going to have to change my PS to something more readable in Brunel
I do however still do my ACEing and PRing in Goo.

ooh, you should find out you Chinese Zodiacal sign. I'm a Metal Monkey and apparently all the little crazy things I do and the immaturity are 'antics' and they're built in and therefore no fault of my own .

You are too a hussy ST.
... and you appear to have a future in Social Services TB I know of loads of little monkeys who need *reasons* like that for their behaviour.

Hey Fizzycongratson your new badge, you gotta be well-behaved from now on
Well, find someone to blame stuff on, anyway
I'm still a Classic Goo fan, but I might try out the new tools next time I'm writing an entry

Thanks GB
Do you know if I'm due any time soon .... picks that is - not getting an email means I can't get to the forum.
You'll enjoy writing entries in Brunel - it takes a lot of the hard work out of them.

Just had a look at the Scout calendar Fizzy, you've not been put on their yet.I suspect it'll be Monday when you find out.

Oooh, go pick some! Calendar? who takes notice of that old thing anymore
Hard work??? Do you mean the GuideML is hard work? I just had a little tinker around in *spit* brunel *cough* and I clicked on the "Table" to save me creating one and what did it do? Up popped a bleep saying "click here to allow for scripted windows" so I clicked... and then nothing happened.

**to allow for scripted windows" so I clicked... and then nothing happened.**
Hi GB, when you've clicked on 'allow scripted windows' you then need to click on tables again and then you'll get the appropriate table format. Same for any of the options in that menu list, bullet points, links etc.

That's probably something Lil has touched recently ... leave it a while and then try again.
I've found it soooooo easy to do my guide entries - mind you I don't ever need to use a table.

Found it.
I've never used any tables, so wouldn't know about that, but editing in brunel is bliss. It's why I don't use firefox, either, because it doesn't let you correct things - it just sticks the corrections at the end of the entry, and not where you need them.

Oh you techie I have no idea what firefox is about .... rarely venture out of IE - I do have ..... mozilla firefox for when IE goes awol .... is that the same thing we're talking about here.

Yes, it is. I've tried mozilla firefox a few times but can't get used to it, and I dislike it. It doesn't even mark words as mistakes as recently suggested, not my version, anyway. I tried it, but nothing. So I don't actually have a reason to use it.
