I will check out the angel forum, but not right away, so it won't look like I'm following you
Will your parents let you keep pets or are you just too busy to maintain them? I can just see you with Belgian hares, one under each arm...

Mother doesn't like pets, they're too much of a pain to look after, and it wouldn't get looked at much. It would have to be a really cheap, ecomimic pet that didn't mind being on it's own for the good part of a day. Looks like a no-brainer

My mother didn't either. Me and my brother were really out of sorts when mom and dad started having dogs (always dobermanns) after we were grown up.
Rabbits are cheap and don't mind being in a hutch out the back. Do you have a back garden, and is it secureable for when you want to let them out? If Mark got into them, there would be two of you to look after them.
However, your mom rules, cos it's her house.
I wish I could have more animals, but you don't want to know what Gretta's idea of play is, with a kitten.

Ouch!
I think our garden would be secure for a rabbit. But I'm either asleep or out of the house from midnight to 4pm approx, with only a tiny amount of time in-between to see any rabbit. From 4-10 I'd be able to lavish attention, barring time for homework and eating.
Plus, the poor bugger would get awful cold most nights if her were outside.
Just realised we've got three saints in this thread *^_^*.
