A serious senior moment?
Lighthousegirl - back on board Posted Jun 12, 2005
I have always been really good at forgetting things - so much so that to get by I have to have lots of strategies - things like only one place in the house that keys can go and a pocket in my bag that they always go in and only they always go in it - that kind of thing! It always makes me laugh when people call me organised (as sometimes they do) as in truth all it is, is that I have lots of coping strategies!
no dont take my lists away ...
and give my diary back ...

riotact : like a phoenix from the ashes Posted Jun 13, 2005
there's nothing acidental about losing mobile telephones; it's what's called an "acte manqué" in french. a desperate gesture for freedom and tranquility in this overbusy, overconnected world in which we no longer really live but simply operate.

I don't want freedom and tranquility - I want to be able to phone my friends, and more importantly for them to be able to phone me!

Mainly down to lack of sleep, I think - and partly down to being a bit of an idiot in general.
What really gets me is there was a photo in the last phone that I took of my Uncle Jim three weeks ago and, as subscribers to my journal will know, he died on Saturday.
