I was, naturally, outraged to read on the BBC News pages that a student has incurred the wrath of the Cabinet Office by setting up a website wickedly parodying official advice on what to do in the event of an emergency, and purporting to come from 'HM Department of Vague Paranoia'. I felt that I should investigate this rascal's irresponsible behaviour myself, so I did a little web searching.
Having done so, let me say that I definitely don't think anyone should visit http://www.preparingforemergencies.co.uk . It certainly isn't the funniest thing I've seen in ages. And if I'm lying, may George W. Bush be utterly humiliated in the forthcoming US Presidential election.

oh, you're no fun, you melancholy dane!
it's not up there with the ministry of silly walks, but it's funnier than, for example, colin powell's yellowcake sketch. (that was supposed to be a joke, wasn't it?)
