This is a message centre for members of the h2g2 Musician's Guild to notify me of any gigs that they are doing. Please get along and give them some support.

Where we play: Sunny's, a.k.a. the Red Hook Yacht and Kayak Club, on Conover St. between Read and Beard, Red Hook, Brooklyn, New York City
What we play: Appalachian stringband music inflected with funk and rockabilly
Admission: It's a bar--no admission

Location: Montgomery Legion, Kent Street just south of Somerset.

Band - includes salvadoordhali aka Nathan Curry, Duncan Gillis, James Stephens, Ian Clark, and Susan Boyd, and others.
Admission - $8 at the door,
Dances are taught, the crowd is very varied, and the legion is a classic canadian location.

Thanks for that, if the musicians' guild isn't open for business yet, I will take it upon myself to get things going.

Start time. Parade begins at 12 noon and runs throughout throughout downtown
Stage performance begins at 2PM on the International Stage

I wish I could be there to see that, sounds quite unique.

I'm just glad we have a float for the parade.. the thought of lugging those 100 lb drums for 2 miles ....*shiver* Especially the big o-daiko.. its 5 foot wide and 7 feet long. Now THAT'S a drum!
