I would just like to congratulate you on a fine entry - informative and honest. I sure do hope they include this one!

I have to aree. A stunning piece of literary genius. I can't believe writing like this exists outside of shakespeare.
10 out of 9!!!
Wow!

So great it's untrue. Has anyone actually visited this guy's home page? I've been meaning to but have been busy doing... my job, whatever that may be.
Double Wow!
Barry Bethel Posted Feb 5, 2000
I've just visited his home page. It's amazing too. I recon this guy's a professional writer or something. He's utterly amazing and that's the truth.
Did you read that sentence which contained no less than two seperate occurences of the word 'even'... Genius.
What does anyone else think?
Double Wow!
Barry Bethel Posted Feb 5, 2000
I have to agree with you about using 'even' twice in the same sentence was a risky move but it paid off. As I was reading the sentence I literally tumbled backwards off my chair when the second kick of the 'even's hit me.
There are others who can't pull it off the subtlety is missing (ie Malcolm Gordons in "Smack for an even round of even numbers" or Jeri Frankwith in "Even if I had even shut the door" or EVEN Max Maxman with his daring "Even though I evenly dealt with this even number of even more repulsive evensong singers (even)".
There is much more detail in J.S.Bach's "Duality: The 'Even' Complex". I suggest it to all.

Amazing. I work for a publishing company and I have decided to offer this bard a 8 book deal on the strength of this alone. Utterly excellent. Look out bestseller lists.
Double Wow!
Barry Bethel Posted Feb 5, 2000
You're a publisher? When you speak to the guy give him my personal regards. He certainly changed the course of my life with his excellent writing skills.
The bit about the Lemur was hilareous.
Double Wow!
Barry Bethel Posted Feb 5, 2000
I didn't see anything about a Lemur, are mine eyes deceivingeth me, good sire?
Well, are they?
Double Lemur Wow!
Barry Bethel Posted Feb 5, 2000
Lemurs? I didn't see any mention of Lemurs.
I love Lemurs though. We have some living in our back yard and if you climb onto the car-hole you can see inside their nest.
Double Lemur Wow!
Barry Bethel Posted Feb 5, 2000
The Lemurs weren't actually mentioned but the undercurrent of the article implied the existence of Lemurs within the fabric of the Weetabix rusk, what I personally took as a scathing attack on the commercialization of both Lemurs and rusk-based cereals.
Socio-political commentary as well as some stuff about Ryboflavin, what more could anyone want?
Double Lemur Wow!
Barry Bethel Posted Feb 5, 2000
Id like a bit of in depth analysis of sporting events too but we can't have everything can we?
Double Lemur Wow!
Barry Bethel Posted Feb 5, 2000
Yes the implication of hordes and hordes of Lemurs coming from the four corners of the earth and converging like Lemurs do in a frenzy of fur and Lemurfication to become one giant Lemur - Lemurzilla.

Barry Bethel Posted Feb 23, 2000
Talking to himself?
I don't get you. Has this something to do with the internal Lemur reference or is there some other meaning you have seen within the article?
If you do see evidence of some deep split-personality inference I'd love to hear your opinions.
Self Double Lemur Wow!
Barry Bethel Posted Feb 23, 2000
Actually, I'd seen similar psychosis related material within but I didn't want to be the first one to say, in case I was wrong .
The rusk seems to signify a hard, crusy exterior (the facade shown to the world) whereas the rhyboflavin is the internal "goodness". In this way we see the weetabix/human link and, in a way, aren't we all Weetabix?
