Eh? What's that all about? Are you mocking me somehow?

Yes I was mocking you. The RMT drivers on the Tube have announced they're going to drive at 10mph in places where they think the track is dangerous. Which is pretty much everywhere.

Argh. Still, better to be safe than sorry I guess. The good thing is that they are doing it in the winter. My asthma plays up so much more in stressful tube situations that I get to go home a bit early so that I can get the .

Your asthma will be even better when you've caught 'flu on the overcrowded buses
Right up 'til Christmas they're supposed to be doing it, unless Ken persuades them otherwise.

Oh I see. So they aren't doing it for safety reasons. They're doing it to be bloody annoying. Because I can't see it all being magically fixed just because Christmas suddenly arrives.

I'm afraid the RMT mentality never got past the 70s. Plus they're generally pissed off with 'New' Labour.
I think the idea of doing it around Christmas is a) it's bloody annoying, and b) because it'll cuase maximum disruption, LUL management might actually listen to them...

Ha. I'll foil them. I'm going to either have two weeks off at xmas, or work from home.
I want the underground to be safe - for everyone. But when they chose to be the most disruptive they possibly can to passengers who don't enjoy communting anyway, then it's hard to support them.

The unions just want the PPP gone, and fast. part of that's safety, partly politics, partly the fact that it's harder to get pay rises out of private consortiums. Plus they know big boss Ken wants shot of the PPP too, so I think they kind of think they've got his approval to flash back to the 70s and be arsey.

I did try to register my support against that. Judging from the complete cock-up that happened to the railways, why start that all over again??

I don't pay much attention. It doesn't matter who gets in, they make life more difficult once they are there.

I do vote, every time! I can't be arsed to maon about how crap they are. They'll just do what they want anyway.

Luckily, everyone doesn't. I know it's lazy/pessimistic, but there are people out there who want to do great things and change the world. I'll settle for a and a massage, and help from the comfort of my sofa.
If we were all out there marching, there'd be no-one left to look after the little ones.
