Since you were/ still are my Guardian from a few weeks back, could you look at my Entry to the Guide - A26212 Heidegger's Ultimate Question - and tell me what you think ...erm...let me have an encouraging quote in the forum? Not that I'm trying to rig things for egotistical purposes you understand....it's no more than naive and unassuming shamefaced exploitation, and of the manipulative kind.

I went and had a look at your entry, it looks very good, but way over my head. I didn't post anything, as I really have no idea what it's all about anyway. Sorry! But it looks very well written, so that's the main thing.

I'm doing fine, got cold fingers as I've been out in the garden doing stuff, so now I'm going to have some to warm me up. Care to join me?

I do tend to spend a lot of time in the garden, but probably not as much time as I spend online. Certainly not once the summer has gone anyway. I've got seedlings and stuff growing on my windowsills now, and I have to go and sort out which of my herbs I can propagate this autumn and which I have to leave until spring. And I want to get my hedge clipped, and my compost sorted, and the grass cut, and all sorts of things. But it rained today, so I went on the playstation instead.
ACE's are official volunteers, the GA's were set up by a researcher to greet newbies, and to take them under their wing and help them. They don't seem to do any greeting now, and only seem to enjoy having the title.

About GA's - I came across some people twittering about them in some Conversation or other, and got mixed up. No offence intended!

Your garden - sounds wonderful but hard work doing all that. The window boxes sound wonderful - (I'm not suggesting your plants and seedlings are loud though)

Now, in gardening, it's me who's out of depth.

BTW can we ditch this Conversation and resume under another heading? This one's a real downer - it was only there to catch your attention. Is there a heading you'd like to suggest?
