Hi Mina!
I hope I'm not too cheeky asking this but I could use some advice..
I'm visiting London next week and I've already found a lot of
touristy-kinds of things to do, like the London Eye, Tussaud's, I
even managed to get a ticket for the "Closer to Heaven" musical.
Still, I'd like to explore also a little nightlife of a big city
(London has about twice as many inhabitants as in whole Finland [can
you guess where I'm from? ]).
If I may bother you a bit with this and if you have the time, would
you care to give some tips for me? I'd really appreciate it.
Oh yes, one more thing.. I know it's rude to "use connections" so to
speak, but AGB told me I should say she sent me..

Thanks for trying, but I can't read it. It's out of focus. Now it's nagging me so much I have to buy one!

No problem, happy to help. But I'm a bit weird in my choice of London nightlife. I like fetish clubs and 70/80s clubs. Camden is the place I go mostly, on Saturday night they have a disco night in The Electric Ballroom, on Friday nights its a sort of goth, industrial place that I don't really understand. There is a place called The Purple Turtle that I go to on sunday nights sometimes, it plays extreme clubbing sounds, it's a pub, so free to get in and have a boogie. It's open late, but the bar closes at the usual pathetic time of 10.30. Then it's soft drinks only.
I haven't been anywhere else for ages up there. If none of these sound your thing, then it might be a good idea to post on the ask h2g2 page, and fnd a true Londoner.
And enjoy your stay here! I wouldn't recomment Tussauds or the planetarium to be honest, as I though they were overpriced and boring. I would recommend Grenwich town, and the planetarium and museum up there. It's where the international date line is. (Where the millenium started!) And The Clink Museum, Tower of London, and the London Dungeon. (Can you see a theme here? )

Well, Greenwich, Tower of London and London Dungeon are already on my "musts" list. I'm also thinking of going to see a bunch of big rocks (Stonehenge) but I'm not quite sure on that yet. And Tussaud's.. well, I want to see the Chamber of Horrors and I already bought the ticket..
As for clubbing, I have my mind set on Heaven and Club Kali (yes, I know, I'm weird ). It's just quite difficult find info on the net when one's not quite sure what to look for.. I usually listen to something danceable and contemporary, stuff that sounds like Geri Halliwell's version of It's Raining Men -- and I love Pet Shop Boys. I just don't know how to categorize it. Euro-dance maybe? I've also got a strange fixation with South Asian music (India, Nepal).
However, my only fetish is any good-looking bloke. Yes, I *did* notice a theme on your choices, but I think it's your *duty* as a muse of bondage, don't you think?
I've set up a little bouffet. Please, dig in!
