It is by all accounts a moving film but the reality is rather more mundane. The oil used does little if anything for the disease

I thought that it was found to have some positive benefits? Or has research proved it to have little effect?

It doesn't do any good once the disease process is established
In prevention it may have some efficacy but this has not been definetely established as no randomised controlled trials have been carried out
