I think this peice, with a lot of work, should really be in the PR for the Edited Guide. Take a look at some guide entries to see what i mean and then search for "UG" to look at some underguide entries.

You have not mentioned any of the drawbacks e.g. the length of time you can use the down thrust.

The first guy was saying that the forum you've put this into, the Alternative Writing Workshop, is for fictional works. Yours would be better placed in the Writing Workshop, or Peer Review, where it can be improved up to a standard where it could be accepted for editing and inclusion in the Edited Guide.
It's up to you though

Well, the Alternative Writing Workshop is for any entry, non fiction or fiction, that the writer isn't aiming to get into the Edited Guide.
Aridias, welcome to h2g2, thanks for contributing to the great, glorious (and chaotic guide ), and apologies for all this h2g2 jargon about workshops etc before you've had time to get to know the site.
The entry is fine here. Having said that though, what you've written is a neat, factual summary which does look like one that could be developed into an entry for the Edited Guide part of h2g2. And you might get more, and better suggestions for doing that in one of the other workshops.
My advice is take a bit of time to wander around the site and if you do decide to try for Edited status with this, just post here to say so and someone will help with how to go about that.
In the meantime, 150 gallons of water... that strikes me as an awful weight to carry. I'd never thought about the fact that aircraft must carry water as well as fuel.

I wonder if this has potential for the Flea Market, as there isn't an Entry about this plane in the Edited Guide.

It is a bit borderline as it doesn't say a great deal... I'll give it the benefit of the doubt and second a move to FM for now but it'll be top of my list for a FM clear out if I bring back 'Last Chance to Rescue'.
