If all those birds go there it must be rather busy.
Speaking of swallows, I still haven't got a satisfying answer regarding low flying swallows as weather forecasters on top of a very high mountain. Do they actually fly low up there... Maybe they don't know either and avoid it by going South, where they can fly as high as they please.

There was bad news recently unfortunately. Due to the torrential rains that led to flooding in many parts of Europe quite a lot of swallows died while starting their migration.
