I saw this news item recently, and thought it deserved a Guide Entry

This reminds me of the story of a consignment of plastic ducks, which ended up being distributed over much of the world.

The story sounds funny, but is just one example of man made objects polluting the ocean.

It would be good if we could get a photo - 'Garfield telephone' sounds cute, and indeed it can be, but 'Garfield telephone that has spent 30 years in water' is 'really quite horrible to look upon' indeed!

Thanks Recumbentman Good point - I think I was specifying that the witness was 'a man' but he found the container with his brother. 'He and his brother' would read better, so that's a note for the Sub-editor in due course
