One thing I've learned about rhododendrons is that they kill plants that grow too close to them.
I have a splendid red flowering rhododendron in my garden, but the buddleia bush I planted near it seems to by gradually dying.

Well the rhododendrons around here seem to have thrived this long winter we have had in western Pennsylvania. All the bushes seemed full of blooms of all colors. They seemed much more in evidence than the azalea bushes this year.
