h2g2 The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy: Earth Edition

I had forgotten what fun can be had on h2g2, I wrote a journal some years back and kept it going for a couple of years before wandering away. I had a different name then but have recently spent some time re reading the stuff I wrote, and much of it was about my little grandchildren. They are all grown up now and i have two great grands and another two on the way. I am so lucky because they all live near us and we see them often.
I still live near the sea in Cornwall, I still have my beloved boss, although like me she is a bit creaky.
I still have a lovely garden but now have to have someone in to do most of the work once a week.
When I stopped my last journals I was doing an open university course which i am proud to say I finished although it took years.
I wonder if any of my old chums will read this and recognise me. here's hoping!

you and Triquack were 2 of my first friends I made when I came to hootoo and when I learnt from Lil (I think ?) that you'd been "knobbled" I'd lost a friend and no one within hootoo was able to give any update as to your well-being

May be it is my age but the hootoo of today seems to have lost something, it is not as sociable as it was, and also I have gone through so many different 'names' since I was kif because I keep forgetting passwords. I am 81 now and I think the dreaded brain fade has got me but I still manage to play the occasional game here

I 100% agree with you, hootoo isn't the same sociable site as it was with many leaving through various reasons of course.

I'm 65 in Aug' and due to a poor short term memory caused by(link above) I have a note pad near the pcand the sites that I need a password/email address for etc are wrote down, as I too "lose track of them"

But! while ever you decide to pop in hootoo I'll be around for a natter any subject alas master of none just a mere modest genius

A question has just come to mind and may I ask it as such, any reply or none reply will not be taken by me in a bad light

in your Sir Kif persona, I was under a sort of information ?(wouldn't want anyone to get in trouble for telling tells) that you were studying ? etc for a future book ?

fact based on my truly weird family, which include an Olympic medalist, a deserter in WW1, a whore and an abandoned baby!!

I can see the time it's taking to write then, chasing through the archives etc and of course to keep it readable without insulting any family member
