I do so hope that some of the dear friends I met on this superb website will read this and write to me.
I think of you so often and have that wonderful photo which Gnoman took at the very first meet I attended with my son Keith at Regents Park. what a wonderful day that was -- was it 2001. I think it was.
Anyway, I hope that the "final" launch of this wonderful website, in memory of a great man, will be the beginning of a new start to a great many lives and freidnships.
With much affection

Welcome back, Christiane.
It's good to see you in the threads once more.
I believe it was Icy's link which you use for your memory exercises, and they are obviously working!
Keep posting!
love,

Very dear Lil,
Thank you for your lovely email. In frendch we call it just a "mel". I have some french cousins who actually came and visited me from Poitiers. In fact I have had quite a few visits from abroad this year including a wonderful one from my darling daughter Marie Louise and her husband and youngest daughter Helen. They live in Perth. Aistra;oa I was very distressed when they left - Oz is really on the other side of the world. However, the way I feel now I feel I might even reach a 100. Those memory exercises were/are wonderful.
I do hope that Icy North comes back on. He and Count Zero were really very good about telling me what stars to look out for. I think it was Galaxie Babe who had a special group about the skies at night.
With a great deal of affection'
I feel there is still so much to learn about.

Dear Christiane,
Icy North and Count Zero are still here. Icy is now one of the Guide Editors, and I think Count Zero is currently wearing his Hallowe'en anagram.
I will have a look and give you the links to their Personal Spaces and leave them here for you

You are most welcome
Have a nice time with K and your viewing will be to your liking. I can't advise you on whether you could settle there or not. I guess you have to have a feeling for the place first.
No, not a Granny yet! Both my girls are married, but one cannot due to her husband's low infertility, strange as he managed to have 4 children to a previous partner with 3 of them being triplets, 2 boys (non-identical) and 1 girl.
The younger daughter had been trying when her marriage failed. She's now settled with a new partner and might think of starting a family, one day
Once again, enjoy your time away. I will watch out for your return.
love,

Hi my very dear Lil,
Lovely to get your news. it really makes one think when one realises what his previous parental record was like. Perhaps there was a lodger in the house!! You know I know that I had three children by the time I was 22 !!! Far too quick. But thank goodness I had them because I have "lost" four since. So I always think that had I not had them when I was so young when we were totallly penniless, i would never have had them.
I hope the place is nice.Ii believe that I have to go and stay there for a month if I want to before I decide. which is probably what I shall do 0 if I go. I have just been introduced to a wonderful organisation called AGECONCERN. The members are quite wonderful and happy and kind and loving. It is a real joy to go there. quite a difference from other organisations....
~We eveN do exercises, and I have learnt to play BINGO. which i LOVE.Now I know why the older population are so happy it is wonderful BINGO!!!
With much affection and thank you for the contacfts.

Morning Christiane,
Oh! I can definitely say they are all his children, everyone of them bear his mark! He couldn't deny being their father, even if he wanted to. He loves those children and I could never fault him on that. The Triplets are all in Universities around the country and they seem to be doing very well, this is the start of their second year.
I was 19 when I had my first, and 21 with my second. I wouldn't change anything, as I had the energy to enjoy their childhood and as they've grown, we have grown closer over the years.
AgeConcern are a good organisation. It's nice to know you are enjoying going out and meeting other people. Bingo can be so exciting!!
I hope you find what you are looking for during the next couple of days and look forward to hearing of your decisions when you get back.
Take care.. and good journey!

vERY DEAR lIL,
lOVELY TO RECEIVE YOUR NEWS WHEN i RETURNED. iT IS SO MARVELLOUS TO HEAR OF HAPPY MARRIAGES.
sorry about the capitalization.
I stayed in a very larney hotel, and thought that everyone else was very very old. !! It turned oout the day that I left that t wo old ducks came up to me and said
"you say that it is difficult when you are over eighty. well we can say that it is very difficult when you are in your sixties. !!. a" And I th0ought that these tow old biddies were much older than I was. !!!/ Anyway, I had easy access to taxis, and found the shopping centre a thousand times nicer than the ones round here. i talked to anyone who would listen, and funnily enough made a lot of nice friends.
I shall be returning every fortnight in order to conitineu with my ac pressure treatment which has totally revivied this poor old body and brain of mine. !!!
I have also met some super people who are going to come in and help me with the day to day living. I feel that the service that I have been paying throughn the nose for has been inadquate and also jollly bad. My flat looks like a blinking dump. and yet the only didying that is done is done by me and yet I pay over £500 per month for the dubious pleasure of having someone come in and help run my bath, vaguly dry me and then even more vaguly flick a duster over the flat. I must say that no one can accuse me of abusing the NHS< ¬¬. I feel that because I have no lived in the UK all my life I do not want to abuse it, and sadly I am afraid that I have been taken for a ride. !!.
Oh well. c'est la vie.
It was also good to see K. again. he is coming today for the day. next time I shall take him with me. I needed a break in order to recharge my batteries.
With much affection.

Very dear Lil,
How are you.
I have just started my life of routine again. a lovely carer coming in to chat to me whilst I have my bath. That is always a very precious time for me. I have a warm bath with I make warmer and warmer, and that really relieves all the aches and pains which normally one would take medication for. i do not, the only thing is that I have shrunk five inches in the last year. really this psoriatic arthritis is for the birds. Not old ladies who are trying to keep going. !!"
Well I hope you ajd yours are well.
with affection

Dearest Christiane,
Sincere apologies for not having seen your previous reply until now
Are you looking for a new flat at this lovely place, to be nearer your new friends? I know you mentioned it being closer to K than this one.
My grandmother had a carer who popped in, did some shopping for her and generally tidied up. Nanna would wait until she'd left and then do it all again - 'Properly this time!'..
Ooh! Those warm/warmer baths are so soothing on the joints, aren't they?
It's so lovely to chat with you again!
Yes.. I am well. So don't worry about me
love,
lil xx
