A new "teaching document" issued by the Roman Catholic bishops of England, Wales and Scotland warns that Catholics should not take the Bible literally -- that it's not infallible. "We should not expect to find in Scripture full scientific accuracy or complete historical precision," they say in the booklet, "The Gift of Scripture". So what sorts of things aren't accurate? Creation, for one.
Genesis, they note, has two different, and sometimes conflicting, creation stories and cannot be considered "historical." Rather, the bishops say, it simply contains "historical traces." (London Times)

Why do you keep pestering Donald when he is obviously no longer here?
Just wondering.

He tends to come and go. He quit the Science boards on several occasions, each time "for ever". Almost every time, he came back.
I'm guessing that, since he made no grand departure this time, Daddy has just curtailed his access to the internet to stop him stirring up anti-Vardy feelings. At some point, he will be back, and will see these messages.
Sudden thought - why are *you* keeping an eye on Spammy's messages, if he is obviously no longer here?

Good question. Not sure. I guess sometimes I stay subscribed to previously 'volatile' threads just to see if anything flares up again.
Curiosity.
Just wondering why you don't consider ol' Sam to be small potatoes. Or is it that you enjoy shooting fish in a barrel?
