I like this entry, I think it just needs a bit of work before it's ready for the edited guide. So here come the nitpicks:
greed or red chilli -> green or red chilli
MSG - probably best to give the full name, at least in a footnote
"which is a mountain of shaved ice, on top of red beans, sweetcorn and other traditional dessert ingredients"
- I suspect you don't mean ice/but ice cream, and I presume you don't mean to imply that sweetcorn and red beans are traditional dessert ingredients. If you do mean these things, they probably deserve a bit more comment.
"Once you've got a table, one person in the group usually stays to guard it while the rest go to the stalls to order, or the diner leaves a packet of tissues on the table or stool as a marker."
"or the diner leaves a packet" should be or leaves a packet" I think, referring to the "one person" mentioned earlier.
Also, I think you need to decide whether you want to describe how a typical group of diners acts ("one person in the group usually stays to guard it"), or how the reader is advised to act ("Once you've got a table"), and be consistent, at least within the paragraph.
I hope that's useful bethlyn.

Interesting article. I would comment, but it appears that bethlyn has reconsidered being part of the wiki movement, not having posted anywhere here in two weeks. I hope this gets Flea Marketed.

Hold on there, bethlyn's got two months before she's Elvised! Don't give up hope; she could be back yet.

Personally, I think the changes left to be made are quite small and could be made by a sub-editor. It would be a shame for this to go to the FM rather than upstairs, where it belongs. Hopefully bethlyn will come back to sort out the niggles, but if not I'd send it on....
Congratulations - Your Entry has been Picked for the Edited Guide!

Your Guide Entry has just been picked from Peer Review by one of our Scouts, and is now heading off into the Editorial Process, which ends with publication in the Edited Guide. We've therefore moved this Review Conversation out of Peer Review and to the entry itself.
If you'd like to know what happens now, check out the page on 'What Happens after your Entry has been Recommended?' at EditedGuide-Process. We hope this explains everything.
Thanks for contributing to the Edited Guide!

Sheesh, you guys never heard of summer holidays?
Two weeks in an exotic foreign country, without internet access?
- Bethlyn, just back from England

I gather I'm not supposed to make changes now it's been moved, but yes, it should have been ice, not ice-cream. They use ice shavers to make mounds of ice and then pour syrups, condensed milk or coconut milk over it. Ice cream exists, but isn't traditional. Corn on the cob is used in savoury dishes, but corn niblets are used in both savoury and sweet dishes, including desserts. Red beans are used only in sweet dishes.
Other points noted. I hope whoever is editing this makes the fixes.

It is a really good article, and it is definitely in the H2G2 style as opposed to wikipedia's, so we were especially interested in it. This is why a Scout pounced on your article.
It's unusual for a newbie to leave H2G2 for this long without posting anywhere, if they intend to come back. I was disappointed to read your Personal Space, and I am very glad you chose to come back with us anoraks for a while.
Peer Review is a place to put articles for feedback, which implies you are going to be around to talk about what you have written. Our mistake.

Well, it got picked and that's the main thing
The sub-editor will have a link to this thread and will check up on the changes you wanted making, so don't worry.
Hope to see you contributing soon, well done again!

I'm glad you're back bethlyn. I'm the one who recommended the entry by the way. As others have said, it did look like you might have disappeared, and I didn't want the entry to get forgotten. I think you've classified Ice Kacang well, and the other niggles should be dealt with by the sub-editor.
Anyway, well done on writing a great entry

Thanks, Silverfish.
My apologies on the timing - I wrote the article when I had some free time, and mis-read the durations of the peer review. I thought it lasted one week, rather than a minimum of one week. I should have sent a post that I was going away rather than just disappearing. I'll know for next time (and I hope there will be a next time!)

Hello!
I'm the Sub-Editor for this article (and very interesting it is too!). I've taken the comments for small changes on board for the (soon-to-be-)edited version of the entry (http://www.bbc.co.uk/dna/h2g2/brunel/A4596690) ... what do you think?

Well, I'm happy with it!
Noted for future reference that the standard style is single quotes, not double quotes.
