Killing the birds with the knife in my hand. No birds will be left when I’ve finished this chore. Here I stand with knife and with cup, collecting the products of my nice little farm.

(Here, I'll say it for you, "What the hell?" And I'll answer you, too, "Who knows?" I need to not write when I'm bored.

I was bored during a class, and in front of a computer. "Rebecca" and "Heroes" were both composed the same way. See a pattern?

I really like "Rebecca" and "Heroes". smiley - magic
By the way, are you ever going to write more on "Rebecca"?
It could really make a good story.

I was originally going to add that to my big long story. Remember, with the dreamseeker and the green Knight? Rebecca was Um's mom, and when she went nuts, her husband, Eaerum left their son behind, and he's the one that Ruth meets. This is all, of course, gibberish if you don't remember the story. I don't think I'll ever finish it, though. it just keeps growing with me as I get older, and is essentially a series of character sketches held loosely together by a "story." Ah, well. See you later!

I still have your story, from when you sent it to me through an e-mail. I was reading it just last week. It's genius! smiley - magic
Though, I understand what you mean. I have all these interesting scenes or ideas for a story, but I can never make the ideas fit together to make a constant theme.

I went back and re-read the whole thing last night. Boy, did I write that a long time ago! The whole thing needs to be totally rewritten. Lucky summer's coming up...I still like the Idea, though, and I'll probably write it down so it's still a children's book. I also want to take out Syra's poems, but since a few of my characters are based off of them, I couldn't really do that. Although, I have her permission to use the poems and flesh out her characters, so long as I mention her (duh) and say they're hers, so couldn't I just say that those characters are based on her poems? And then include the poems in the back, maybe? Who knows, I don't understand things like that. But after reading it again, the poems just don't mesh with the ebb of my writing, and they're a bit too silly for the only place it makes sence to put them, y'know. The Dreamseeker and Eaerum (the strange "little" man) are also too silly. Eaerum has become, in my head, a very sad character (after Rebecca, y'know), and the Dreamseeker is still jolly, but should be more coherent, as he has to explain a lot. And the way the whole thing starts off is too abrupt, it changes too often, too quickly, with no set up. My set up does take a while, but I appriciate a good set up. That's just the problem, though, it's long, not good. I need a better way to explain what's going on, and when the knight leaves and the dragon "attacks," it needs to happen, but it just doesn't flow. The whole day before the journey happens too quickly, without time to breath, and there's no motivation for anything, it seems. I need to flesh the first bit out, and I think I'll pull out the dragon and have Ruth put in the town by the knight. Also, I got rid of the character of Mya and replaced her with one called Brants, whose much more sarcastic. And I added a character, who I may decide to use instead of Lynn, who's based loosely on Marshall (Just as the Green Knight is 6th grade Kieth, Ceece is 8th grade Alyssa, and Eaerum is an older, sadder John Dollar, In my head, anyway). There's so much I want to do with this, but I'm having difficulty fitting the pieces together, and the old version just doesn't read the way I write now. Perhaps when I go off to college, we could collaborate. It would help us stay in touch, and I like collaberation. Plus you're a GENIUS, which should help with the story as a wholesmiley - biggrin.
Anyway, I think I've written enough, I'll see you later today. I'LL MISS YOU!!!!!!!!!!
