Commonly mispronounced words.
I recently discovered that hyperbole is pronounced hi-PER-bo-lee rather than hi-per-bowl.

What about:"Politicians-Are they worth feeding?"
Really I am beginning to wonder. The mess they made in Ireland, the mistakes they are making in Europe, the "shower" that passes for a politician in the USA and the back-stabbers we have in Australia really make me sick.
Real people are trying to recover from the aftershocks of the GFC! Yet these ego driven manics, are acting as if they are making things better not worse.

Favourite household machines.
Yes, it sounds a bit funny but Iwas extolling the virtues of my tumble drier the other day and wondered what other people couldn't do without.

Do you mark them at all or do you just ignore them?
Do you note the event and contemplate for a moment on the wonders of the universe?

Do you visit a henge and dance around in circles in the nude, after doing your astronomical calculations for the right moment with paper and pencil and the aid of Druid's pi?

I am writing a thesis on emotions and how they rule people's lives. My writings on boredom and resilience are
very thin. Could we cover emotions and/or the whole area of boredom?

Sounds boring.
Sorry, just kidding. I couldn't resist. Do you have a deadline for your thesis that we should be respectful of? Would you like to construct the question yourself or would you like us to just wing it?

No deadline. I have written a first draft but need to edit it severly.
I got the inspiration from a friend who expressed her boredom with her job.
She is studying her JD part-time and paying for it by working at a high paid job.
But the job bores her silly. I realised that boredom was rife, when I read that the majority of
Australians hate their current job. Is this because of boredom?
That would be my first focus question.
Of course, boredom is not only sourced from the work place.
Is it then a symptom of a time poor lifestyle?
Anyway that is about as far as I have got on developing my thesis.
I will edit what I have written and post it on the
Alternative site Thursday.
Thanks for the feedback.
