Have you ever read The Unadultarated Cat by Terry Prachett? If you claim to be in the know about cats, you need it.
For example: We claim to be able to train cats to expect their tea at a specific time. They have trained us to get a can out of the fridge at a specific time. Subtle difference.

You should - it changed my view of cats forever. I am certainly a Real cat, the type appreciated in the book.
