Could you be tempted to have a about Polidori?

It depends on what the footnote says. I'm not sure Polidori is relevant to Dracula, but I'm open to suggestion.

I added one, but if you don't like it it can be excised. Otherwise, can you have a read through and let me know if you'd like any other changes made?

If you're going to mention Polidori and Frankenstein, you'd better go all the way and add:

No, it was wafers. If you look at the Langella 'Dracula', you'll see it in action, I think - they break them and insert them in the soil. (Holy water works if you fling it, apparently.)

Somehow, the vampires in Romania seem to respond to Western religious traditions, in spite of the Romanian Orthodox Church...

Oh, yeah - even the Baptists are giving people prepackaged communion kits. Of course, this only involves crackers and grape juice.
