The farm is having a nice summer.

'Rooster and Ladyfriends': He's giving me the evil eye, that rooster. And letting me know who's boss. The ducks and turkeys are not impressed - you can hear them giving him the raspberry.

'Produce Growth, with Goats and Dog' (after a title by Josef Beuys): The corn's doing as well as can be expected in the dry weather, and the okra is a nice surprise. Beans are drying on the poles, because they just want to shell them and eat the beans, not the hulls. The goats are happy in their habitat, with the companionship of their friend the dog.

'The Grasshopper Lies Heavy' (Title stolen from Philip K Dick): I felt really adventurous and brave taking this footage of a grasshopper on a stake. Turns out he had friends. I had help with the wrangling from the kids.
