Oh, I have relatives in that part of the world - they're artists, living by one of the finger lakes. I keep meaning to visit one of these days, but I'm about as far away from going now as I ever was, what with the money situation.
I never knew about the conferederate POW camps - thanks for that!

Ah, now the Finger Lakes are lovely. Interesting country up there. Beware, though - that area also includes Lilydale, home of the Fox Sisters and birthplace of Spiritism.

Now, now - I have relatives living in Lily Dale.
My cousin's wife insists they live in the 'normal' side of town.
His grandfather (my grandfather's brother) and his wife lived there for many years (I suspect they were on the other side of town 
)
