h2g2 The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy: Earth Edition

Did my geneology and found that my ancestors come from Ireland. The Irish name of "Cante" which was changed to Kent when we landed here in North Carolina 1716. My family has since moved extensively over the last nearly 300 years. They fought in both the American revolution and the civil war. That and a dollar will get you a coffee at a cheap coffee house.

Been on hootoo for almost two years and there is plenty to read and if you like to write there is plenty to write about.

Most of this is just for fun though not to be taken seriously. I hope you like it here.

Whle I am not the expert here at hootoo. I dont do the GuideML for instance, I have been around long enough to know the many fascinating featre that are here.

People who are of bent to write, have made thousands of guide entries and these can be found on the left hand side of your front page at the "read" button.

Along with the latest "news" and even fiction. If you have your own thing to write then please do write it and place it in peer review so that others can make their own comments about it that is the way items get included in the guide itself.

I tend to write a new front page semi-regularly to keep up with current events and to let others know thatI am alive.

Another tradition is the "math". Take your researcher number and manipulate through the typical algebraic method into the number 42. Dont know why that is, well the reason for life the universe and everything (according to Douglas Adams) is "42" so get with it.

Actually there is nothing that is required of you at all here. You can lurk around all day long without writing anything and it is OK. (Maybe a little anti- social Like Douglas Adams in fact.)

Or you can be the social butterfly like me and write email to all the others here. Mostly we try to enjoy ourselves by doiing whatever we like so go forth and enjoy.
