h2g2 The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy: Earth Edition

Dress update: Blind stitching the hem is nearly finished, then there are just the two darts at the back to sort out, which could be bodged at the last minute with safety pins on the inside if need be.

There'd be plenty of time to finish the sewing, get my hair hennaed, and track down a pair of shoes before Friday morning...

...except that my beloved only checked the camera remote control (needed if he's to be in the group photo) this evening. The battery's dead and needs replacing. He can't get it himself, and there's no time to get it online. If I can't find one locally, that'll involve a trip into Central London, while the shoes involve a bus out to Bromley. Given that one place is only 5 miles away as the crow flies, and the other is 6 or so, you wouldn't think that it'd take the best part of a day by bus to get between them and then home. This is South London, not the middle of nowhere!

That's tomorrow gone before it's even begun. And breathe. It'll be fine. And even if it isn't, these are only First World problems.
