I try to be positive about Barlesque. Being utterly confused about it..and someone who has it in for me gives further kicks in the teeth to me.

I did expect it.

I've seen the hideousness of what bullying behaviour can do to people at first hand.

It goes on in schools because people are too weak to take it seriously. It happened to the daughter of my last partner. The teachers were so abject in dealing with it that she ended up in hospital with breathing difficulties. It led to the end of our relationship.

You have to come down on it HARD. It's pathetic that ed was put on premod just for that behaviour..and so was I and Taff.

I hope in noohootoo bullying is treated really harshly.

People need to be confronted and explain themselves honestly. I would be happy to do that if I behaved badly...and i have at times. I would EXPECT to be confronted.

I'm totally in agreement with you effers. Bullying and insinuation and harassing are being taken seriously in the plans for noohootoo. I also would like to tell you that where individuals are being the 'target' for others, especially where this is a pattern of behaviour that is continuous - this is also an area that is being written about, and you should see a lot better safeguards in the future.

I think the present BBC mods do a fine job, given their remit. But they only look at individual posts/complaints in isolation. The new h2g2 moderators will understand and care about the community as a whole.

We want this to be a happy place.

To be honest, I just can't see the attraction of making hurtful remarks. It does make me wonder what on earth it is like inside the heads of people like that. Eurgh! nasty It's pitiful really isn't it? They should go outside and smell the flowers or listen to the birds or - anything - just get a grip on themselves and act like grownups.

See I think it's a really ordinary part of human nature. And if that isn't faced it will easily flourish. We really aren't anything special here.

Yes taken to an extreme degree maybe unusual. But it can flourish oh so easily if not taken seriously.

It will be happening in offices and schools all over the country right now.
