Your Guide Entry has just been picked from Peer Review by one of our Scouts, and is now heading off into the Editorial Process, which ends with publication in the Edited Guide. We've therefore moved this Review Conversation out of Peer Review and to the entry itself.

If you'd like to know what happens now, check out the page on 'What Happens after your Entry has been Recommended?' at EditedGuide-Process. We hope this explains everything.

Thanks for contributing to the Edited Guide!

I had to go offline for a short while due to overload at work (I work in IT and the last thing I wanted to do was look at a computer outside of the office).

I'm glad my absence didnt cause my entry to get passed up. I hope I did this great game justice as my writing was based almost entirely on my personal playing experience.

I have only played one poker game in my life, but as far as I'm concerned the entry is excellent. Congratulations.

Thanks all for the wonderful feedback on this entry. I've got a few friends who are amazed that I am capable of writing something like this. Honestly, I'm amazed myself that the entry is going to be editted, and if it weren't for the detailed and great feedback provided, I'd still be drowning wondering what to do with it.

Thanks all for the feedback and thanks for the messages of congratulations. I know it's a cheesey thing to say, but the entry wouldnt be what it is if it werent for your feedback.

Is this gonna hit the front page before poker's greatest prize is claimed next week?

Great job cleaning up my shoddy writing and orginazation...smiley - cheers

I did find a few things, mostly minor. Honestly, they are probably errors in my version that slipped by. I list them below in the order I think has the most risk of confusing the reader.

Wrong name: In the example of play section when describing the players' hands after the flop it says "and Jack has three of a kind Kings." Jack wasn't listed as a player in the opening of that section, I think that's left over from an early version where I had used different (much more confusing) names. Jack became Andrew for the purpose of the example and I think I just missed replacing that instance of his name.

Confusing grammar: In the order of play section, step 5 it says, "continues around clockwise the table". This is confusing to me, should it not read as, "continues around the table clockwise," or, "continues clockwise around the table"? This is also probably from my original version.

Typo: Examples of starting hands it says, "you have a pocker pair or a wired pair" and it should be "pocket pair or wired pair". This is also probably from my original version.

Typo: In the example hand section at the river it describes the full houses that all players have it says "Denise has Aces full of King" and it should be plural (Kings). This is also probably from my original version.
