h2g2 The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy: Earth Edition

Hello Folks!

Goodness, it has been a long time since I set aside some time in which to write a Journal Entry. Actually, it feels really good as I am having pangs of guilt and all sorts of other emotions besides.

I have been thinking a lot about Blogging recently (as we are encouraged to call it and have set up a Blog on a different site, as I was inspired by an article in yesterday's Independant on the subject - it was only after writing and subsequently writing my first post that I began to take a good look around. That was when I realised...hardly anyone had any comments or replies! WHAT is the fun in that?! So, subsequently I am going to close down the Blog.

"Why not post on here?" I hear you cry. Well, the truth is that on here everyone knows me too well and I really wanted to express some deep emotions and become, for a while at least, annonymous...oh well, here I am!

I mentioned guilt above and perhaps this is what has driven me to post here. I feel terribly guilty at not posting in Mustardland recently when I know that I should have done, but I find the new system so hard to work. So, to all my ML readers, I am truly sorry but I would nver, ever desert you. The new system seems to take up so much more time than I can allow in my very hectic life and so I cannot post so much - I will try harder, I promise!

Today is particuarly upsetting because I have learnt that one of my schoolfriends (aged 19) has died. Another girl has died too from the same school but I did not know her so well, it is upsetting and at the moment it is all I can think about. There poor familes...

A lighter note is needed to end this 'return entry' - I was lucky enough to be able to attend the Elaine Paige concert last night which was being recorded by Radio 2. It was so magnificant and wonderful! I loved every, single minute! It's being broadcast on Friday and so I will be able to re-live it all!

I'm really sorry to hear about your friend and 19 is so young. I can understand why you are feeling so upset.

Thanks, my friend, it was a real shock! He was blind but had no life threatening disease or anything like that.

Great to hear from you - although I'm so sorry to hear about your friends death, 19 is just so young. It's natural to feel upset at such things but I hope too that you'll recall the fun and good times with your friend.

AS for the guilt about not posting here or in ML - please remember that these things are for your(our) enjoyment so if other stuff prevents you from participating then enjoy the other stuff and come back when you can. Our relationships change over time, it doesn't mean that something that occupied a lot of our time is forgotten just that it has a different place in life now. You will be remembered when you go onto the boards I'm sure even if you've been absent for a while.
