Dear Readers, whoever you may be,

The internet is a powerful tool, one which can aid us with so many things. It can inform us, entertain us and, of course, allow us tomake friends. I have made so many friends on the internet, some of which I have even met but for some reason at the moment I seem to want more. I don't really know why I am putting this all down but I just hope that it helps me to put it all into perspective. I don't seem to be able to value the friends that I already have as I contantly, it seems, surf the web for people - people who mean nothing to me, people who have done nothing to deserve my friendship or perhaps do not even want to know me, how can I do this?

Also, now many of my friends are now under threat as our dear messageboard 'Mustardland' is going to be changed to all this new DNA system - not that this is a problem but some people have said that they will not continue to post. I do hope that this doesn't happen, as everyone on ML is always lovely!

Well, I must stop serving the web for epals as I have SO many friends already and please remember Mustardlanders, whatever happens, that I value you all and will forever be in your debt.

TW

Hiya TW. I've just added you to my list of friends, which means that I'll be able to keep track of all your journal entries, so it's over to you now...

TW - you're on my list of friends too. And I don't think there's any harm in constantly being on the lookout for new friends - it's not as if you can ever have too many!

I'm considerably (ahem!) older than you and this year I went on holiday to Canada to stay with a couple I've only known for about three years. I met the wife when I was commuting to London - we used to sit in the same carriage on the train and one day her cup of coffee split and went all over the tray in front of her and I helped mop it up. We started talking and just hit it off immediately. I was really sad when they decided to emigrate, although it's a great opportunity for them - but we stay in touch, mainly by email and MSN.
