Just now the first tangerines of this years winter landed on my desk. smiley - smiley Best things of winter, they are. The supermarkets display all the x-mas stuff for weeks already - depressing.
When I look out of the window, I wish I were back in Oz instead of sitting in that boring drizzle...
Well, at least I smoke less - it's walking 4 floors down and get wet, or smoking on the fire escape and get soaked - as does the hall.
At least I found one positive point, now I can bitch along smiley - winkeye.

The autumn colours are lovely, and the thunderstorms and deluge we had today couldn't exactly be called 'drizzle'... and were refreshing for a change, surprisingly. However, the cold that blew in with one large puff was NOT.

In addition to the simultaneous beginning of a slight rain fall upon my head when I left home this morning (please gimme a hint how to avoid in "askh2g2 -> curse of the rain cloud") the fabulous bus driver meant to cross a puddle before standing still with his huge machine. That´s what I look like today and I wished I had forgotten my lenses as I did yesterday.
KATS, HAND ME A LOT OF TANGERINES and a double espresso, please. smiley - winkeye

That´s what I need before my colleague will force me to leave the warm office *brrrrrr* for lunch....I think, her skin´s water resistant (down to which depth ? smiley - smiley I´ll ask her...).

Or she´s an Alien. Species.
You never know nowadays, it can really happen.

KATS, "Species" gonna be on TV next sat.

Sorry, I am usually quite underexposed and dumb and I have to find out how it works.
You know, www´s in my personal use not as long as I wished it was. Give me time, I will learn it one day.
I think it´s due to my age. smiley - winkeye

I'd love to go back to Australia *sigh* - the best winter I had, that year I missed it completely, 18 month of summer smiley - winkeye

But I would prefer a real thunderstorm, may it be cold, to this nerveracking drizzling. It's like the weather can't decide what to do so it just gets everything a bit wet *grrrrrr*.
But at least smoking's down.

ps: Findus, your tangerines and espresso are comin' up **fill and press in cable* smiley - winkeye

I'm sure you can imagine any kind of delivery you'd like, but your modem is going to get quite flooded with all that tangerine juice flowing through unattended. smiley - winkeye

I agree that drizzle can get monotonous at times.. Much better for a cloudburst. smiley - winkeye

you're right - but yesterday I got to see the big payoff for 3 days of drizzle... one hole in the (drizzling smiley - winkeye )cloud cover, the sun just starting to set, the sky in this cloudhole just shining golden - and some few cumulus clouds swimming in that bit of golden sky, golden with a tiny blush at the bottom, pitchdark on top....

I stood transfixed for 15 minutes. At least. (And wondered why all the other people were hurrying along to get their rush-hour shopping done...)

this was almost worth it smiley - winkeye.
