But what about those who can't swim?

They can ride on luxury yachts with 4-star restaurants on board.

On a more serious note, we seem to suffer slightly from split threads here we seem to be focusing on dates for voting (and cutoff times for new accounts) but on http://www.bbc.co.uk/dna/h2g2/brunel/F19585?thread=8233143&show=20&skip=140#pi160 they are discussing layouts of governing committee, and what exactly are we voting for (director of h2g2, editors etc etc) Somewhat confusing and disjointed atm

Yeah, nbb. It's really hard to keep track, isn't it. It's one of those difficult ones; this is the Magrethea thread, so a little more 'official', if you like, but that post on Ask was started by a concerned member of the site and probably has more people subscribed.

Their "side" - that is, the discussions occuring about layout of any organisation, and whether a "top person" is necessary is more critical as it will be needed almost as soon as we win the bid (if we lose, and get sold, then some of the discussion will still be needed)
This discussion can't come into effect without more news - but we should be able to have decided what the official "cutoff date (since we would seem to need one) is by then.
personally my favourite (and seemingly, others) would be 01.03.11
(thats the 1st of March for those in odd countries)
Views?

Well, in my odd country, the first of March, 2011 would be 3-1-11
