There had become too many smileys to put on a single page with all the link stuff as well and it was crashing various people's computers (in particular digiboxes). When the smileys were split into groups on different pages it was too much trouble to change the software to select between the pages when creating the link from the smiley. Whereas it had been a trivial matter to append just the individual smiley name as a jump point after the one and only hard-coded page number.

(that's for me, for getting here, )

I was just trying to figure out how to put a direct link on my personal page....so slow with code I am... I do like the ability to click through on the smiley, but with so many choices, just landing me on the index page still leaves me s-e-a-r-c-h-i-n-g. Would it possible to have the clicks lead to the proper category? I accept that going to the precise code is no longer possible, but can us newbies - or perennial slow learners, as the case will prove to be! - be given a bit more of a nudge?

I also have problems. And for the life of me cannot imagine where they have put the or smiley. ! Yet some people use them. !!

If you click your mouse over the smiley, it will take you to the place where all the smiley's live
