Aloha peepsters and peepettes and peepers and peepees and the little peepspectives.
I'm happy. I'm skint, shagless, disappointed that today isn't Friday but, overall, I'm happy.
The weekend was great (good festival meet, good peculiar school reunion, good birthday knees up for a mate on Sunday/Monday, and good to spend some time with me mate Munquai), work's tolerable (and I got a stinking appraisal the other day), WOTSA are playing on my stereophonic amplification device, the Sun's making an effort to appear, I seem to have Glastonbury tickets (though they *still* haven't taken the bleedin' money. Apparently NatWest refused the transactions to Glastonbury's account as they suspected money laundering. Have they not noticed that 125,000 tickets were sold in two hours so there was likely to be a large amount of money going into the account?).
Hang on, I've lost track of my brackets/sentence distribution.
Right. Where was I?
I am currently supping a Guinness.
Nope, I've lost my thread completely.
Speaking of threads: the Yikes thread is now beyond me. I'm confused and confuddled beyond the point of no return.
Still, at least I've got my elf.
In the words of a recent text message from The Legs: Bang! And the dirt is gone.
But I wouldn't count on that.

Did the 'Yikes' thread ever make sense
You haven't been 'Lurking over the parapet' yet!!
Keep Happy my lovely friend

I should address a couple of typos in the first post!
It was a *stonking*, not a *stinking* appraisal (which means I get a pay rise in a couple of months!) and QOTSA are playing on my stereo, not WOTSA.
Lurking over the parapet?
I might just dive back into the yikes thread and see what happens!

I'm aware of that thread (even chipped in a couple of times!) but it confuses me greatly. This is what happens when you log in at work, try to read a few posts, give up and get back to working!

It does happen you know! And I've just spent the last two days in the company of the one chap on the section who makes the late DNA look prolific (everyone else is on leave). If it got done over the last couple of days it was me wot done it. And he still had the cheek to look humpy when I left early!
Oh, hang on, must stop that, I'm happy!
Getting back home and seeing my mates always cheers me up immensely (as my journal makes quite apparent!)
Shame LiftLiker wasn't about, but I gather he was having a frightfully good time elsewhere. Lucky chap.

Ah, QOTSA. A man of taste I see. I first heard them a few years ago whilst in the states. On a channel called Anal FM.
I kid you not. The phone-in was bizarre!!

Grabbed, groped, fondled...
Hey, it's all good!
(Mind you, I rarely remember any of it and get a frightful surprise when I see the photos!)

It;s quite amazing really: my manager's off sick so it was my manager's manager that did the appraisal. A couple of months back, at my manager's wedding, I called my manager's manager an 'officious w*nker', and I still got a good appraisal! Mind you, I did precede the 'officious w+nker' by calling myself an irritating little sh*t, which probably helped...
Booze and bosses. Never a good combination.

We did sort of discuss it at the appraisal. Sort of.
He said that he knows I get frustrated with the beurocracy, er, buerocrasy, er, politics, but that when he gives the 'That's the way it is so do it!' answer he knows how I feel but that that's what spending 20 years in the Revenue does to ya'.
Thing is, I know what he means. And I've seen him wearing a Misfits t-shirt so the chap can't be all bad!

He's a good bloke doing a tough job (that should be a lot easier) in difficult circumstances (which wouldn't be difficult at all if it weren't for the political posturing of our government).
Oops, sorry, I'll remove the union hat!
As you were.
Oh, you won't snog me I've been eating an onion.
