Hi Munch, I just wanted to thank you for co-authoring the entry on Uisge Beatha in Glasgow. I found it in a Google search when I was randomly searching for things I am nostalgic for, and it was so good that it inspired me to join up here.
You mention that you are thinking of becoming a Canadian--I'm a Canadian who has been and will be a Scot (went to U. of Glasgow in 1998, and moving back to the UK on Oct. 15).
Anyway, thanks, and if you have any interest in chatting about the wonders of the Great White North (where, as I'm sure you learned from the blurb on the Molson bottles, "nature's extremes are part of our daily life") my ICQ is 75891980.

Wotcher,
Glad to see someone else agreeing about the Uisghe Beathe. I've not been back much, as I am currently stuck in the South of England, so I get somewhat nostalgic for it too.
I currently actually have a Canadian passport and am keeping it in reserve, as my current plan is to get back to Glasgow. Perhaps, if I'm bored in a few years time I might give Canada a run out.
Incidently, if you check Jamie's links (the other guy who co-wrote the article) you will see a Scottish Researchers Group who are having a real life meet up at the end of October, if you fancy meeting some new people in your new country. Hope you enjoy H2G2.
Oh, and drink Molson? Not if I can help it.
