I can't honestly remember, Bel. I was posting them on BBCi Messageboards for a year or so before I came here. There are a couple of others lurking around on other h2g2 quiz threads - I can't re-use them here as the answers have been posted. Let me know if you want links to them.

Hi Chips,
You can have 10. FINLAY, but not 4. GOEBBELS, as there's only one B in the clue. I am looking for someone very evil, though, if that helps.
Bel, 14. Doc HOLLIDAY is correct.

Oh bother ! I had Doc. Holiday spelt with just one L and the web agreed with me the first day I looked at it... I see it also agrees with the two L version, but I was looking under seven letter words...
Well done Bel.

Hi Bel,
Murphy's law came from Edward A. Murphy, an American engineer
But you can have that one, as there were plenty of famous Dr. Murphys:
William Parry Murphy - nobel prize winner in 1934 (anaemia),
John Benjamin Murphy, US surgeon, inventor of the Murphy drip, and
Joseph Edward Murphy - another Nobel prize winner (first kidney transplant)
Oddly, I had another answer - a very famous British surgeon (for no extra points).
Popa, 4. FU MANCHU is correct.
2. HARVEY is also correct, but I was thinking of William Harvey, who discovered blood circulation.
It pays to consider pet-food brands though - you will tend to win a lot.

A couple of clues to clear up numbers 18, 20 and 25...
In no particular order, I am looking for:
* a supervillain;
* the author of a 1972 best-seller;
* a bandleader, who presides over mayhem.
Hope this helps,
Icy (aka Eagle Eye)

Hopefully, that only leaves No. 20.
I was trying to squeeze Lex Luthor (or just stretch Luthor) into one of those, but I guess that'll not work, the letters aren't even there:
That's me for tonight.

I wonder if I've finally found (hopefully) the last Doctor, Efrem Zimbalist Jr.'s character in the 2002 film Spiderman.
20 = OCTOPUS

You certainly have, Popa. Dr Octopus, the Marvel comics supervillain.
Congratulations!
That concludes Eagle Eye Challenge #5. A few spices still going in EE3, and I'll be back next week with a new challenge.
