Hi Puzzler,
You can have that one. He was from Dickens, wasn't he?
I had someone infinitely more evil (for no extra points).

... But you can't have 25: Waters.
I'm looking for a 5-letter answer.
Who's Dr Waters, btw?

A character from Thackeray
19. Portman (another from Thackeray)

I can't give you Portman, as Chips has already claimed that point with my answer, Dr Kildare.
Sorry!

No problem, I realised as soon as I posted it that 19 had already been solved.

Hi...
03 also contains CRIPIN (but that's only 5 letters)
06 = MARTENS
08 = FOSTER
16 = SUESS
23 = PEPPER

Hi Chips, yes 23: PEPPER is correct.
Popa, you score for MARTENS, ATKINS, FOSTER and SEUSS.
B'Elana won't be pleased - she was looking for Dr Martens but didn't spot him. (Sorry Bel)

Hi Popa,
I believe the children's homes pioneer was spelled "Barnardo". I didn't include him in this quiz, as the name was too similar to Dr Christian Barnard in Q1.
Who's Dr Potter? I had a different answer.

Now I'm confused... I've always thought it was Bernado's...
http://www.eastendtalking.org.uk/OurHistory/History_Schools/dr_barnardo/Dr_Barnardos.asp
however there does seem to be evidence that maybe the spelling has changed over the years. But it's my belief that the doctor himself spelt his name with only the one letter R, and it was the doctor we were looking for.
Colonel Dr. Potter is (or has been)officer in charge 4077 M.A.S.H, working with Doctors (Hawkeye) Pierce, Hunnicut, McIntyre and Houlihan, to name but a few which I didn't find.

Hi popa, I thought about the doctors from MASH, but thought they'd perhaps a bit too abstruse But it's nice to see that I'm not the only one who thought of them. Shame I didn't spot Martens although I looked for him
Icy, I 'm really looking forward to the new challenge every week, it's great you set up this game ,

Oh... I just realised I din't check out HOT LIPS (Houlihan), might be the two word answer...
Hmm... I needn't have bothered.

Hi Popa,
Thanks, I'll give you the point for 17. POTTER.
I had a very famous heart surgeon (for no extra points).
Hi Bel,
Thank you for the very kind words. I'll try to get the quizzes out as regularly as I can - they do take some time to compile.
