but with all these hormones raging around it's just a hop skip and ajump to insanity.Why would anyone want a woman in a position of power?Unless of course,her hormones are removed.

Well, think of the alternative. A man in a position of power? I'm a male myself and I certainly wouldn't trust me with any important desicions! And I always thought it was the *fairer* sex. I've met some women who I definately wouldn't describe as "gentle"...
