Don't forget about the school paradox...
All those teachers you thought were so tall and mighty as a primary school student have shrunk in the intervening years to dwarf-stature. And the desks are smaller, the chalk boards are lower, and we don't want to talk about the urinals!
Frightening stuff to discover that Mr. Smith (his real name) is only 5-foot, 9-inches, when he seemed like a giant in the second grade!

Never having been back to my school since I escaped many years ago, I can't be certain on the size of the urinals now. However, as I was taught by a race of freakish Mongolian Giants in a secret temple high in the Himalayas, I would be very surprised to discover they have all shrunk and are no longer very tall...

They say you know your getting older when you come to the conclussion that the people in the music charts keep looker younger all the time.
However, I am convinced that when I closely followed the music charts, we did not have people 9 years old singing about 'life not being easy'.
How the F* would a 9 year old reach this conclussion? I mean, Jeez, when I was nine I was to busy hanging with my mates, going to movies, and enjoying life to decide whether or not it was easy.
I'm not THAT old - Honest!

Bassman - Funny how people never ceases to amaze me! Posted Jun 24, 2000
Speaking of school days, it's been 21 years since I left school. I thought that there might be some sort of reunion going on, especially as this is the Millennium year and all that. So if there are any researchers from The Fitzwimarc School in Rayleigh Essex, who think this is a cool idear.... let me know. Go to my home page and use the e-mail Bassman button.

Music.
Remember in your youth, that there was always loads of great music in the chart, now it's mostly Cr*p. I've been chatting with a young researcher who tells me of his fondness for Punk music, then reels off all these so called punk bands names, never heard of 'em. What about the Stranglers the Pistols the Damned the Ramones et al?
I apologise by I think my high horse is about to come out of the stable!! Best I leave.
