What can I say but Thanks to the team and a special thanks goes to Pastey & Shazz - without them there would be no POST. Congrats to you for bringing my idea to fruition.

Excellent chaps & chapesses; just a thought, how about some way of commenting/discussing a particular article in The Post?
I especially liked Prez'a Sinterklaas write-up; there's a lot of history and influence behind what has become the commercialised Santa Claus we all know. It would be nice to have some form of reply to an individual article.
What about Mr. Hankey?

I agree, (both times ). I think that can probably be accomplished by just titling your comments on the front page to the article, though. I like the fact that the popup windows are small and uncluttered!
Also, though this thought just struck me so I haven't checked it out, I would imagine that if you r/clicked a link you could get the location of the full page on which the article resides? Then there would be a 'discuss' .. the trouble is.. who would find it? I could be wrong, too, because these new windows aren't exactly h2g2 standard... might we have a new toy to check out somewhere?

(I say again ... great job. )

Well, erm.. ahh, umm.. the articles themselves aren't actually stored within h2g2. We have them on a seperate server. There are reasons but I won't bore you with them. If you want to discuss any particular article, and I'd like it if you did, then just click on the discuss for the front page. Title it the same as the article and go from there
The main reason for the way we have done this, which I will go into, is so that we can use pop up windows effectively. Can you imagine what they would be like with the full goo? so to get rid of the goo and the advertising banner and such and keep the articles simple and quick to load, we've had to sacrifice the discuss button. Sorry, but please feel free to discuss from the front page.

Everyone!!!
This is really superlative. Very exciting. You are redefining what online communities are all about!!!!
I haven't been to the party yet, but here!... I brought champaigne just for the editors. Pour it over your heads or drink it, or aim it at eachother...
You earned it.

ShazzPR - I know you deserve to relax after the weekend but a whole bottle of bubbly - don't you think that is going to far.

WATCH OUT FOR THE ARTICLES LYING ON THE TABLE THERE!
And try and aim it away from my head - I hate having sticky hair that smells of alcohol: so unattractive, and I need all the help I can get!
