Hi Spynxxx, just to let you know as it's rather far back in the Yahoo group backlog, we're trying out a slightly different selection process to make it easier for busy people.

Basically nominations can be made any time - see something you like, nominate there and then. But with the proviso that it might need time to develop. Though you could say that's a matter for the seconder rather than the nominator. Hopefully we'll get discussion developing around nominations that will inform seconding choices.

Nominations are also, for the time being, unlimited. If that becomes a problem, we simply put a limit back. Secondings happen in the old mining rounds and are limited to two per miner.

It will be good to have you back mining.

Thanks for the info Waz but I'll need the keys to the Pig if I'm to be of any use as I unsubbed out of respect when I left. Lurking on site is one thing but in regard to the group I simply felt it would have been unseemly to stay logged on without being a part of the team and that's just not me. I'll pop by Yahoo and request to join just to make things easier.

I do like the idea of nominating as you've outlined as I've several pieces coming from deep down the shafts and with luck a few new authors as well. My offsite mining might net a few worthy souls but I'm waiting till things get sorted out a bit before introducing them.

It's good to be back, I really have missed it more than you could imagine. Now if I can just keep my own foot out of my mouth I might prevent someone else's from invading my more tender regions

You should find the door unlocked - I've followed Yahoo's instructions but whether that has worked...? Try it and let me know and also if you got the email sent.

"In like Flynn" as the saying goes, no problems at all. And that concludes this session as it's off to restock the larder amidst a snow storm If it were just us we'd get by but the critters all need food so there's no getting out of it.
