Second snowfall of the year already under our belts.
We received a few inches during work today, enough to cancel our schools' afternoon kindergarten sessions and most of our evening activities.
Wee! Only 15 more to go...

How much did you get?
They were only calling for a *maximum* of 2 inches here... but I know it's got to be at least 3.

We had right around 3 inches up here (2.8 actually).
One of the benefits of living next to a NWS weather station.

I went out and measured it after I posted that, and it was just about 2-3/4 here.

You measured it manually! With a ruler!
I never thought of doing that. I just wait for the radio or tv since they use the gauge at the airport 5 miles from my house.

Our airport is even closer than that, but I don't think they bother to measure it.
If they do, they don't bother to report it to the good people at Weatherbug, because the precipitation is never listed in the information on there.
