Apparently the posting and page went because of the possibility of confusion arising from the inference that it had ben set up by a BBC staff member; hence its removal was deemed 'prudent'. (Presumably the personal information e-mail was reckoned to be the closest of the stock replies, or something.) And currently trying to access U1000000 at all produces a server error.
