h2g2 The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy: Earth Edition

Ok, so this is my first entry, and damn it, it will be good. Well, at least to me, right?! So my rant for the day, as I am quite agitated, will be about people. Particularly people that you work with and how they can just make you nuts! You know the ones I'm talking about, I know you do! The people that always have to contradict you, the ones that always know more, know better than you do. You know, the freaks! So I'm at work today and one of the other people I work with stops in to chat with me about a project that I'm working on. They decide to tell me how much more they know about the subject and that what I am planning will not work for this and that reason. What the hell? Did I ask for this opinion? No, I think not. Do normal people (ok, I'm not ReALLY normal, but who's keeping track?) want to hear how their idea sucks? I doubt it. I try explaining to this person how it should work. They continue to tell me how it won't. How my view is all wrong and theirs is all right. I wanted to pop this person in the face. What the hell is wrong with people?

And while I'm venting about the freaks of the world, how about the guys that Instant message you (on whatever system) and instantly think they are the end all, beat all of sex? I mean, sure, I love a good night of hot, sweaty sex as much as the next girl, but damn, hold your horses! It's not all about that. Sometimes it's nice to just chat with someone. It's not that I'm a prude or anything. HELL NO! It's just that the first thing out of your mouth should not be something about any part of my (or your) anatomy. I could really care less how well you are hung or what you want to do with my sweet spots. At least not as the first thing. I might like to know SOMETHING about you and your personality. Call me picky or psycho, but that's just how it is.

Again, don't get me wrong. I'm not a prude. Hell, I have great, sexual conversations with friends all the time. I just prefer to know something about people first. Oh well, I suppose that's just about enough of that. Have fun and don't let anyone keep you down (unless they've tied you to the bed at your request)!
