Been a while, eh?

No, I still don't have any wedding photos to show you.

No, I'm not planning to write anything in the near future.

No, I won't be popping in every day.

No, I don't have any plans to save h2g2, or any new initiatives, or competitions, or the slightest inclination to do anything other than renew old acquaintances. And I'm not going to go back and read all those conversations I'm subscribed to from way back, because it'll take me months.

Anything been going on? I haven't read anything here since October. Any news? any rumours? Any lies that sound vaguely feasible?

One thing I need is a bloody good beerfest. Does anyone still drink beer?

News:

In a bizarre move, I've adopted Mrs Zen's Kitteh, he's adorable. Even my likes him. My other cat doesn't seem to mind either (and he - kitteh - doesn't bother my birds)

There are still one or two good people who share birthdays, though

We just have 2,000 wedding photos at the last count, so it's taking me my entire life to edit the collection. It's just a nightmare.

The thing with h2g2 - it's like walking into the Cheers! bar. We've got a charity cricket game tomorrow, supporting Sport Relief, and I allowed it access to my email address book to ask for sponsors. My friends here have doubled our advance fundraising total - people I haven't been in touch with for six months in some cases have sponsored our club and added £50 to our total. So however annoyed I have become with various aspects of the place, there are still some damn good people here.

Mags: Oh, yeah, good point. I'm only umpiring though, I think - no need for faculties It's really taken off. The Wisden Cricketer are interested in photos and we've had prizes donated from Derbyshire to Surrey. I'm still buzzing a bit, to be honest...

Did somebody say beer? I've been working my way through a $200 beer haul I bagged a month or two back when it was 20% off at the local supermarket. Still got plenty left though Some high end stuff too

Loads of stuff going on in my h2g2 life, and my real life, none of it of any interest to anyone except perhaps the curse. That's the real curse, not a girly monthly curse.

Becoming a granny is the only significant happening in my life. Writing dried up for a while but I think I am back in to it again. Longer daylight makes such a difference.

You sound as busy as ever.
