h2g2 The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy: Earth Edition

If you've been paying attention to the Aviators, you'll know that the group is up and walking and we've made a few clips to go with some Edited Entries. Now we're moving the idea along a stage, with the Beeblecast.

It's a chance for *you* to get involved in something really special - a living, breathing, moving Guide that you can sit and watch as well as read. I've set it up so that anyone can join in, whether they be writer, poet, musician, opinionated fool, film-maker, photographer - or even if they just have a microphone. You don't have to write for the Edited Guide, be able to make movies or fiddle around with any techy stuff. You can just do whatever bits you enjoy.

Come and be part of it. With a good bunch of people, it could be tremendous fun.

Do you still need music? I need to drag my sorry arse into gear and do something, have tomorrow off, five guitars, two bass guitars, an banjo and more soft synths than you could shake a very big, nicely decorated stick at.

I know I promised to do it before but I'm permanently crap.

I do have a bit of a problem with Yahoo: it doesn't like me any more and won't let me log in, but I could email something.

We still have no original music so, yes, go for it! I'd really love the community to provide the tunes rather than nab short snatches of tunes from elsewhere.

I wonder if others are having problems with the group; it's been very quiet except for me and Bel. I've just checked your status, and it says you're not bouncing. It's sending it to your Googlemail, is that correct?

Email anything you've done to h2g2aviators[at]googlemail[dot]com - it's handy for me to keep everything together there

It's sending the emails but I can't log into the Yahoo group to reply to them. Yahoo won't let me get my password off 'em. No great loss as I hate email groups, but it's a nuisance as it affects the Aviators thing.

Just reply to them - you don't need to log in to do that, just hit 'Reply'.

But you can just hit 'Reply' on the emails you get, you don't have to log into the group for that.

I'm quite grateful for the audio option some online dictionaries do provide, I can go there and check the correct pronunciation if in doubt.

I just might take a look at this after exams.
